As a Microsoft Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician (DIAT), you will perform cycle audits, execute incoming and outgoing deliveries, coordinate security escorts for third-party vendors, and document inbound and outbound deliveries. Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma AND 1+ year(s) experience in a warehouse/supply chain environment related to information technology (IT), inventory management, retail, or warehouse management, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ year(s) experience in warehouse/supply chain in an IT environment, logistics, or operating heavy-load movement equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jacks) for a large corporation, or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform assigned tasks and escalate issues during high-volume work activity.
- Coordinate with suppliers for warranty claims and process failed vendor hardware devices, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Maintain accurate information within various inventory management systems, ensuring detailed physical inventory tracking.
- Help reconcile and report inventory discrepancies.
- Execute the destruction of data-bearing devices (DBD) following SLAs and Microsoft policies.
- Notify management about ordering stock shortages and escalate issues as necessary.
