Position

As a Strategic Account Technologist in the Energy sector, you will have the opportunity to orchestrate global teams to gather information, collaborate on performance markers, and identify potential risks in customer accounts. This role allows you to partner with customers and/or partners to provide innovative solutions in new industries while integrating Microsoft technology into their business. You will leverage a strong knowledge of Microsoft's product landscape, solutions, and strategy to address customer needs. Your responsibilities include acting as the voice of the customer and internal advocate across all levels of the organization, providing analysis of customer needs for some of the largest and most complex accounts, and advising on gaps that would benefit from Microsoft solutions. You will also lead customer business transformations through digital transformation for assigned accounts.

Qualifications
Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 7+ years of related experience OR equivalent experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 14+ years of related experience OR equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in the energy industry, digital transformation, or using technology to drive customer business outcomes
  • 4+ years of experience in business consulting, consultative selling, or change management
  • 5+ years of experience leading technical, support, and/or partner teams

Responsibilities

  • Customer and Industry Insights: Combining various business and industry insights to forecast and develop recommendations for managing accounts.
  • Differentiated Value Proposition: Developing relationships with senior leaders, advising on solutions, and aligning Microsoft capabilities with customer needs.
  • Education and Thought Leadership: Leading customer technology engagement and creating enablement plans for large customers to drive long-term engagement with the Microsoft platform.
  • Mapping and Account Planning: Orchestrating internal teams and partner ecosystems to ensure sufficient technical resources for demand generation.
  • Technology Sales: Creating targeted approaches tailored to current business requirements and positioning Microsoft as a leader for the future.
  • Technology Strategy Formulation: Advising on gaps that would benefit from Microsoft solutions and plotting the strategic vision of the customer's business strategy.
  • Trusted Advisor: Acting as the voice of the customer and internal advocate while providing insights and feedback to internal teams.
