The Strategic Account Executive - Energy manages the development and application of a mature/dynamic customer plan based on proven methodologies to manage a sustainable, long-term business portfolio. This role involves collaborating across organizations and with partners to impact the broader ecosystem, leveraging close relationships with leaders (e.g., senior leaders, C-level executives) of the assigned account to shape long-term strategic direction and influence business metrics. The executive will expand strategic customer relationships to drive larger impact and anticipate issues on customer satisfaction, determining root causes and establishing recovery action plans to improve the overall experience.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years of experience in industries such as Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy, Government, Education, or Technology and/or driving digital transformation
  • OR Master's Degree AND 9+ years experience in the same industries
  • OR 13+ years of experience in any of the mentioned industries
  • 6+ years experience making recommendations to and/or collaborating with mid-to-senior level executives
  • 8+ years experience closing large, complex agreements/deals

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 13+ years experience in relevant industries
  • OR Master's Degree AND 11+ years experience in relevant industries

Responsibilities

  • Account Management

    • Manage the development and application of customer account plans.
    • Lead strategies for high-volume sales and new opportunities.
    • Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop tailored account plans.
    • Proactively solicit feedback for focused strategies.

    • Develop a strong understanding of customer needs and strategies.
    • Expand strategic customer relationships.

    • Serve as a trusted advisor to C-level decision-makers.
    • Utilize effective sales strategies to identify new opportunities.
    • Build long-term strategies for customer loyalty.
  • Strategic Thinking

    • Articulate insights to evolve customer business models.
    • Drive strategic initiatives to promote a holistic digital approach.
