We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our team. In this role, you will develop advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP) models, apply R&D skills to innovate new solutions, pretrain and fine-tune large language models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, specializing in NLP and machine learning, and possess experience in developing real-world solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP) models.
- Apply R&D skills to innovate and develop new solutions, creating rapid prototypes and validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement models, monitor outcomes, and iterate on solutions.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis and exploratory research to identify patterns, trends, and insights that enhance model performance and drive business impact.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in NLP, machine learning, and related fields, seeking opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of best practices, coding standards, and documentation for data science projects.
- Participate in strategic discussions, team meetings, and cross-functional collaborations to drive innovation and align data science initiatives with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Arabic; knowledge of Modern Standard Arabic grammar and morphology is a plus.
- Over 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role.
- Solid understanding of machine learning, NLP, and deep learning techniques.
- Proficiency in Python, with experience in NLP libraries such as NLTK, SpaCy, and Hugging Face Transformers.
- Strong problem-solving skills focused on product development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience in R&D, with a track record of developing and implementing real-world solutions.
- Experience in pre-training, fine-tuning, and building large language models (LLMs) with demonstrable results.
- Knowledge of deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Published papers in top-tier NLP or AI conferences are a plus.
