Research Engineer

The Research Engineer position is based in the Emerging Advanced Research Acceleration for Emerging Technology, Security, and Cryptology Center under the guidance of Dr. Hoda Alkhzaimi. The role involves designing and implementing advanced technological solutions, developing and maintaining software and hardware tools, and collaborating with researchers to integrate technological innovations. Responsibilities include working on projects focused on building secure hardware systems, developing software tools for cryptographic applications, and enhancing AI-driven cybersecurity measures. The position also engages in machine learning, security analysis, and advanced prototyping, while building and evaluating prototypes of novel solutions and products with high Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) and global impact. Additional duties consist of conducting online surveys and experiments, ensuring the smooth operation of laboratory equipment and software, and contributing to the preparation of research proposals and reports.

Qualifications: A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required, along with proficiency in developing technological solutions for research and strong technical skills in software and hardware development.
