As a Data Reliability Engineer Intern, you will engage in managing our hybrid cloud infrastructure based on AWS and GCP. This role provides exposure to cutting-edge technologies in data, analytics, and artificial intelligence, allowing you to learn about administering and monitoring both batch and real-time data processing pipelines. You will collaborate with diverse teams including product & tech, core business verticals, trust & safety, and finance, empowering them to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the administration of AWS and GCP cloud for data, analytics, and AI.
- Ensure systems are properly available and functioning.
- Report compliance issues with company-wide security policies and administer security groups.
- Set up alerts for security and stability using tools such as GuardDuty, CloudWatch, and Slack integrations.
- Control and optimize costs to align with budgets.
- Maintain a recent backup for all systems to ensure disaster recovery.
- Administer GitHub, password manager, security tokens, keys, and secrets; manage access for BI systems users.
- Manage Kubernetes clusters and databases including Redshift, Data Lake, RDS, and Google BigQuery.
- Oversee data visualization tools (e.g., Sisense, Tableau) and ETL platforms (e.g., Matillion, Airflow).
- Automate repetitive tasks using Python and shell scripting.
- Install, upgrade, and patch production EC2 instances.
- Possess working knowledge of DNS, proxies, and general routing.
Requirements:
- Fresh graduates or final-year students from top-class technical degrees (computer science, engineering, maths, physics).
- Strong knowledge of Linux and shell scripting.
- Proficient in SQL and network security protocols.
- Familiar with data pipelines and job scheduling.
- Ability to work under pressure; self-motivated and driven.
