With a thriving jobs market, there are many potential employers in Dubai.

But what are the best tech companies to work for in Dubai?

The company is part of the German delivery group Delivery Hero, giving Talabat access to a vast international network spanning 40+ countries. In December 2024 Talabat went a step further and listed on the Dubai Financial Market in the largest global technology IPO of the year — a sign of just how serious the company has become. Noon built a full-fledged ecosystem of products and services within a few years, and momentum hasn't slowed: it raised a further $500 million from PIF-backed investors in late 2025 at a valuation near $10 billion, and is widely reported to be preparing for an IPO. Their aim is to become the undisputed market leader in the region.

ByteDance (TikTok)

ByteDance is the technology company behind TikTok, CapCut and a string of other products used by well over a billion people worldwide. Its regional hub for the Middle East is based right here in Dubai.

What makes ByteDance interesting for engineers is that the Dubai office isn't just a sales outpost. Alongside the commercial teams it runs genuine backend engineering, and houses solutions architects for BytePlus — ByteDance's enterprise AI and cloud platform. That means you can work on large-scale systems and applied AI without leaving the UAE.

What They Offer:

  • Competitive salaries and strong benefits
  • The chance to work on systems operating at genuinely global scale
  • Exposure to world-class recommendation, machine learning and big-data engineering
  • A fast-paced, product-driven culture
  • A multicultural team and a vast international network

What I Like About It:

ByteDance is famous for the engineering behind its recommendation systems — some of the most sophisticated machine learning operating at scale anywhere in the world.

For an engineer in Dubai, getting exposure to that calibre of problem is rare. The BytePlus side in particular lets you work on applied AI and cloud infrastructure for enterprise customers across the region.

If you want to work on hard, high-scale problems and care about modern AI, ByteDance is one of the most exciting options in the city.

Revolut

Revolut is one of the world's best-known fintech companies, building an all-in-one "super app" that spans banking, cards, currency exchange, stock trading and crypto. As it expands across the UAE, it has been growing its presence and hiring in Dubai.

  • A flat, fast-moving culture where engineers ship quickly
  • The chance to work on products used by tens of millions of customers

What I Like About It:

Revolut moves fast, and that shows in the breadth of engineering it does. It isn't just banking apps — there are teams working on crypto and blockchain, data platforms, and machine learning (right up to a Head of AI Engineering and deep-learning voice work).

For engineers who like ownership and a high bar, Revolut is a great fit. The pace is intense, but you'll learn a lot and work alongside genuinely strong people.

If you enjoy fintech and want a modern stack with real autonomy, Revolut is well worth a look.

Kraken

Kraken is one of the largest and longest-running cryptocurrency exchanges in the world. It runs a regulated regional hub in Dubai under the emirate's virtual-asset framework (VARA), making it one of the more serious crypto employers with a real UAE footing.

What They Offer:

  • Competitive salaries (paid partly in crypto, if you want)
  • A remote-friendly, globally distributed culture
  • A genuinely modern stack — a lot of Rust across core and product engineering, with React Native on mobile
  • Work on onchain and blockchain systems, not just a trading front-end
  • A strong emphasis on security and reliability

What I Like About It:

Kraken is a great option for engineers who want to work on hard distributed-systems problems. The heavy use of Rust across both core and product engineering is the sign of a team that cares about performance and correctness.

It's also a good fit if you value flexibility — Kraken's culture is remote-first and globally distributed, so you get the upside of a Dubai base with the freedom of remote work.

If crypto, onchain systems or systems programming excite you, Kraken is one of the coolest places to do that kind of work from the UAE.
