About the Job:
We are seeking a Data Architect who will be responsible for defining the enterprise data architecture roadmap across various domains, designing scalable cloud-native architectures, and leading data platform initiatives. This role combines technical leadership with strategic oversight to ensure robust data governance and security compliance, making it pivotal for the organization’s digital transformation journey.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architectural Strategy & Design:

    • Define the enterprise data architecture roadmap across various data domains (operational, analytical, metadata, master, reference, unstructured).
    • Design scalable, cloud-native data architecture aligned with business needs and digital transformation goals.
    • Select appropriate data storage technologies (e.g., Delta Lake, Data Lakehouse, SQL/NoSQL stores) based on use case.
  • Data Platform Leadership:

    • Lead the architecture for ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption across batch and real-time data pipelines.
    • Define standards and frameworks for metadata, data lineage, data quality, and cataloging.
    • Architect for interoperability across BI, AI/ML, and regulatory reporting workloads.
  • Governance & Security:

    • Enforce data governance, privacy, and compliance standards in collaboration with the data governance team.
    • Implement security policies including data masking, encryption, access control, and audit logging.

Preferred Technical Expertise:

  • Deep hands-on expertise in Azure Data Services (Data Lake Gen2, Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks).
  • Experience with modern data lakehouse architectures (Delta Lake, Iceberg).
  • Familiarity with Big Data tools (Spark, Kafka, Hive).
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling (3NF, dimensional, data vault).
  • Understanding of data cataloging and governance tools (Azure Purview, Collibra).
  • Proficiency in orchestration tools and schedulers (Airflow, Azure Data Factory pipelines).
  • Knowledge of streaming pipelines using Kafka, Event Hub, or Databricks Structured Streaming is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, GraphQL, and data virtualization is a plus.
  • Exposure to MLOps, feature stores, and AI data lifecycle is an advantage.

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to abstract complex technical ideas for executive stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Ability to mentor engineering teams and influence architectural decisions in a federated data environment.
