Role Overview:

As a Data Scientist, you will leverage your expertise in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling to extract insights from complex datasets and drive data-driven decision-making within the organization. You will work within the Analytics Department to develop and deploy predictive models, uncover patterns and trends, and derive actionable insights to solve business problems and optimize processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Exploration and Preparation: Collect, clean, and preprocess large volumes of structured and unstructured data from various sources, ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Statistical Analysis: Apply statistical methods and techniques to analyze data, identify correlations, and uncover insights that contribute to business objectives and strategy.
• Machine Learning Modeling: Develop and implement machine learning algorithms and models, such as regression, classification, clustering, and recommendation systems, to address business challenges and opportunities.
• Predictive Analytics: Build predictive models to forecast future trends, anticipate customer behavior, and optimize decision-making processes across the organization.
• Data Visualization: Create visualizations, dashboards, and reports to communicate findings and insights effectively to stakeholders and decision-makers, using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, software developers, and business stakeholders, to integrate data science solutions into existing systems and processes.
• Model Evaluation and Optimization: Evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics and techniques, and iterate on model designs to improve accuracy, robustness, and scalability.
• Ethical and Responsible Data Use: Ensure ethical and responsible use of data by adhering to data privacy regulations, maintaining data security measures, and upholding ethical standards in data analysis and modeling.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn). Experience in Distributed Computing and Virtualization is a plus. Exposure to LLMs and related Python libraries.
• Statistical Analysis: Strong understanding of statistical concepts and techniques, such as hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and time series analysis.
• Machine Learning: Hands-on experience with machine learning algorithms and techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning, ensemble methods, and deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow).
• Data Visualization: Proficiency in data visualization tools and techniques to effectively communicate insights and findings to diverse audiences.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems, identify relevant data sources, and develop innovative solutions.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts and findings into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, share knowledge and expertise, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
