Position

Role Purpose:
Data Architecture Manager assumes the data architecture leadership, and performs architectural analysis tasks related to the development of enterprise data architecture at NEOM CG, research and implement data reference architecture and ensure the provision of timely and authoritative advice and support to the various EAO stakeholders as well as Data Analytics and AI team division.

Key responsibilities:

  • Understand, advocate and support NEOM CG business and IT strategies and ensure business IT alignment from a data architecture perspective.
  • Lead and develop NEOM CG data architecture viewpoints and deliverables, at the conceptual and logical level, recommending data roadmap supporting the business needs of NEOM CG.
  • Participate in conducting data architecture compliance reviews for implementation projects and provide recommendations as needed.
  • Lead and develop data architecture principles and standards to guide EAO.
  • Recommend enhancements to Data Architecture governance to the Enterprise Architect.
  • Research and analyze contemporary and emerging technological trends and provide recommendations.
  • Participate in evaluating change requests and conducting impact analysis as needed.
  • Contribute to providing consultations and awareness services to EAO and the wider NEOM CG stakeholders on subjects related to data architecture and associated trends.
  • Contribute to the development of new RFPs for the IT initiatives and evaluate the responses from data architecture point of view.
  • Ensure all data architecture artifacts are properly managed within the EA Repository.
  • Participate in developing and refreshing NEOM CG IT strategic plans.
  • Attend meetings with the business and IT stakeholders for requirements gathering and decision making.
  • Actively participate in the creation or evolution of the enterprise architecture function/program.
  • Work closely with the research companies and technology vendors to analyze specific technical challenges, tools, and trends.
  • Report to the chief architect on the overall performance of the data architecture activities and the EA engagements.
  • Promote the EA process, outcomes, and results to the organization, including the enterprise's IT and business leaders.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in Information Technology.
  • At least 2 years of working in data architecture including assessing current state and designing target data architecture models.
  • Previous experience in public sector and government settings is highly preferable.
  • Hands-on experience with different DBMS configuration and development such as Oracle, MSSQL, and DB2.
  • Excellent understanding of EA and Data Architecture concepts and frameworks including data messaging protocols, semantic data interoperability concepts, and XML data modeling.
  • Proven experience in designing data integration models.
  • Understanding of the emerging data trends (Big Data and Analytics) and their value from data architecture point of view for NEOM CG.
  • Good management and leadership skills.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate with varying levels of stakeholders and build relationships effectively

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Certification in TOGAF is highly preferred.
  • Certification in Database such as OCP, Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Big Data, BI, and Data analysis is highly preferred.
