The Information Systems Engineer is responsible for delivering enterprise-level IT support and maintenance of various IT services within the organization. This role requires leveraging engineering tools and processes for effective installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, and support of NTT infrastructure and systems. The Information Systems Engineer works independently and employs troubleshooting skills to research and resolve medium- to complex issues.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Install, test, and maintain new hardware or software to provide new services or resolve user and system problems.
  • Perform troubleshooting and system analysis to resolve incidents and ensure system availability.
  • Conduct system administration tasks, including configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and support.
  • Test and validate new systems to ensure they meet requested functionality and quality.
  • Implement backup and recovery procedures to ensure required availability.
  • Monitor systems proactively by collecting availability, performance metrics, and system logs.
  • Perform hardware or software upgrades and patching to support vulnerability and risk management.
  • Define, raise, and execute changes as part of the Change Management Process.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, including fixes, modifications, and other changes.
  • Manage tickets for Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, and Request Fulfillment.
  • Document work results and actions taken to resolve incidents, including effort and resolution time.
  • Collaborate with vendors or other delivery organizations to provide the necessary support.
  • Work with senior team members to gain guidance on procedures and technical possibilities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes

  • Proficient in necessary infrastructure technology and management tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python, SQL, ABAB).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with a good technical understanding.
  • Good verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with ITIL support processes (Incident, Change, Request Management).
  • Analytical skills to evaluate information and choose the best solution.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and under pressure, meeting deadlines.
  • Capacity to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Relevant certifications for the requested technology (e.g., CCNA, MCP, A+, Linux+, Microsoft Certified).

Required Experience

  • Proven experience in a similar role within an information technology environment.
