We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated technical specialist to join our team, specializing in cloud infrastructure technologies.
Responsibilities
What You Will Do
- Design, deploy, and optimize Private Cloud and Edge solutions leveraging Compute Cloud at Customer (C3), Roving Edge Infrastructure (REI), and associated cloud products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to create scalable and efficient architectures for Private and Edge Cloud.
- Provide deep technical expertise and support for C3, REI, and related systems.
- Accelerate customer opportunities with new and existing customers through technical presentations, Proof of Concept (PoC), and solution assistance.
- Research and evaluate upcoming cloud technologies to drive continuous improvement.
- Create and articulate compelling written assets, covering both external publications and internal documentation.
- Engage with customers at all levels, including CIOs, CTOs, IT Architects, technical staff, and Business representatives.
- Develop and present outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations.
- Lead all aspects of the technical sales process.
- Advise internal and external clients on overall architectural solutions.
- Guide customers through their cloud journey, starting with Oracle’s on-prem cloud solutions.
- Educate customers and partners about Oracle product offerings and Cloud strategy in designated product areas.
- Conduct strategy, architecture, roadmap, and planning cloud workshops.
- Assess current state architecture and recommend future state architecture.
- Demonstrate the value of Oracle's Cloud Technology Solutions, focusing on C3 and REI.
- Stay updated on competitive products, especially in Hyperconverged systems and virtualization platforms.
- Contribute technical responses for Invitations To Tender (ITT), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Requests for Proposal (RFP).
Requirements
We are looking for a professional with solid experience as a Cloud Solution Architect, capable of understanding customer issues during their Cloud transition.
- Essential knowledge of Cloud Architecture (IaaS & PaaS).
- Strong Cloud IaaS/PaaS oriented mindset with broad understanding of on-prem solutions (e.g., HW platforms, Hyperconverged Systems, etc.).
- Experience in planning and delivering cloud migration projects from traditional on-premise deployment models.
- Familiarity with architectural approaches including consolidation, cloud computing, virtualization, disaster recovery, information management, big data, Java applications, and both Oracle and non-Oracle applications.
- Knowledge of wide-area and data center networking design, protocols, and implementation.
- Comprehensive understanding of the full Oracle stack, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Gen2.
- Insight into cloud competitors like AWS, GCP, and/or Azure and their hybrid cloud offerings.
- Possession of Cloud Architecture Development/Cloud certification (Oracle, AWS, Azure, Google, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including needs analysis, positioning, business justification, and closing techniques.
- Significant expertise in presenting to C-level audiences.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
- Ability to travel as needed.
