Position

Our client is looking for a Founding AI Engineer to join its product engineering team and help define how next-generation AI agents are embedded directly into it’s products. 

You will work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to build practical, scalable, and product-integrated AI features, with a focus on a set of AI Native products. 

This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of deep technical expertise and user-centric product design, and who is excited by the opportunity to ship real AI applications that matter. 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design and implement AI agents and intelligent systems that directly enhance core user workflows across our products
  • Develop and maintain internal chatbot and LLM applications, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to identify high-leverage user problems that can be solved with AI-driven experiences
  • Develop capabilities across the full AI pipeline, including data collection, fine-tuning, agent orchestration, prompt engineering, and performance evaluation
  • Integrate with external APIs, LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source models), and enterprise data systems to build composable and context-aware agents
  • Prototype, test, and productionize complex agentic workflows
  • Help define standards for reliability, latency, and interpretability in AI applications, ensuring that AI enhancements feel seamless and trustworthy to users
  • Maintain and improve infrastructure for training, monitoring, and continuously improving deployed models and agents
  • Collaborate effectively with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Python and relevant AI/ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, LlamaIndex)
  • Experience with modern LLM ecosystems, vector databases, RAG pipelines, and autonomous agent frameworks
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Track record of shipping AI/ML-powered features in production environments

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience
  • 4+ years of experience in machine learning, NLP, or AI development, particularly with LLMs and chatbot frameworks
  • Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and data analysis tools

Product Orientation:

  • Prior experience working in product-led companies where engineering decisions are guided by user value and speed of learning
  • Empathy for non-technical users and a passion for simplifying complex workflows through thoughtful design and automation

Domain Experience (Preferred but Not Required):

  • Interest in how AI can transform organizational workflows, decision-making, and employee experiences
