IS&T Manager (Information Technology) (Aviation)

Parsons is seeking an IS&T Manager (Aviation) to oversee the IT infrastructure and operations within our aviation construction program. The ideal candidate will lead a team of IT professionals, manage IT projects, and ensure the efficient and secure functioning of technology systems. This role involves collaboration with various departments to assess technology needs, develop IT strategies, and implement solutions that support the program's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the IT department, supervising and mentoring IT staff, setting departmental goals, and conducting performance evaluations.
• Develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with program goals and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with other teams to assess technology needs and propose enhancements for efficiency and security.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of hardware, software, networks, and systems infrastructure.
• Ensure the security and integrity of data and systems by implementing appropriate measures and protocols.
• Plan and manage IT projects, including budgeting and resource allocation.
• Evaluate and select vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage external technology service providers.
• Monitor technology trends, making recommendations for upgrades and enhancements.
• Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Provide technical support and guidance to staff, troubleshooting issues and ensuring prompt resolution.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience as an IT Manager or in a similar role.
• Extensive experience in leading large IT projects and implementing IT infrastructure across various technologies.
• Excellent knowledge of networks, security, computer systems, and database storage systems.
