Parsons Corporation is seeking a highly experienced Lead Architect to contribute significantly to the successful delivery of a landmark subway/metro program in the UAE. As the Lead Architect, you will be responsible for shaping the project's architectural vision and overseeing the design and execution of railway stations, transit hubs, and related infrastructure. You will ensure that all architectural elements meet project requirements, client expectations, and international best practices. This role demands extensive experience in rail and metro projects, with a preference for candidates who have worked in the UAE or GCC region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architectural design process for metro stations, depots, interchanges, and associated structures, ensuring functionality, sustainability, and aesthetic excellence.
  • Provide technical leadership in station planning, wayfinding, passenger flow optimization, and multi-modal integration.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, MEP, structural, and systems engineers, to deliver seamless and efficient designs.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, and international railway design standards.
  • Engage with clients, stakeholders, and government authorities to align architectural solutions with project goals and urban development plans.
  • Implement sustainable design principles, integrating energy efficiency, green building standards, and innovative materials into station architecture.
  • Oversee design reviews, feasibility studies, and value engineering initiatives to optimize costs and performance.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior architects and design teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables within project timelines.
  • Provide architectural oversight and support to the Construction and Project Management departments.
  • Ensure the contractor's architectural work aligns with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s in Architecture from an accredited institution; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of architectural design experience, focusing on railway, metro, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Proven track record in delivering projects in the UAE or GCC region, with an in-depth understanding of regional design standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proficiency in architectural design software, BIM (Revit), 3D modeling, and visualization tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Skills / Competencies:

  • Effective oral and written skills for client presentations, technical reporting, and correspondence.
  • Understanding of the delivery process and construction management functions for large-scale projects.
  • Ability to interface with various levels within the project team, clients, and others.
