The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will perform quality activities on assigned complex quality projects/programs to ensure that products or services provided meet customer and Parsons quality requirements. This role involves regular interaction with representatives from various functional groups, including program management, design/engineering, purchasing, construction, and more.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Provides Quality Systems support using the ISO 9001 Standard for process development, optimization, procedure development, data collection, and Quality Systems training.
- Plans and executes required audit activities, conducts Internal Quality Audits, and manages all follow-up activities.
- Facilitates internal and external Quality audits and documents corrective actions.
- Assists in qualification audits of suppliers for purchased items and services.
- Verifies compliance with quality standards and program requirements for products and services.
- Collaborates in the development and maintenance of Quality Policy, Processes, Procedures, and related documents.
- Reviews documents prepared by internal or external organizations from a quality perspective.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Quality discipline, or related field (or equivalent work experience) with 6+ years of related quality experience.
- Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001 or equivalent) or ASQ Certification (as CMQ/OE, CQA, or CQE) is preferred.
- Membership in a nationally-recognized Quality organization is also preferred.
Skills/Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management practices and ISO standards.
- Ability to communicate clearly and interface effectively with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in analyzing situations in business terms and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and project planning skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
