Phygrid, an Ombori company, is hiring a Technical Lead to work in Dubai - UAE.

What does Phygrid do?

We are creating a market-leading store digitalization platform to power the best in-store shopping experiences for customers and empower employees.

What will you be doing?

You will not be building yet another web or mobile app! We are looking for ambitious and creative software engineers that are up for a challenge. The platform technology stack involves cloud-native back end, modern front end, IoT ecosystem, and a wide variety of hardware.

As a Technical Lead, you will be the technical authority within your domain, spearheading the development of groundbreaking solutions and driving our product's technical excellence:

Product Development:

• Pioneer the development of product features, balancing leadership with active engagement in coding tasks. Resolve technical disputes and manage risks to ensure product stability and security.

Product Roadmap:

• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to shape the product roadmap and backlog, aligning priorities with customer needs, market trends, and business objectives.

Domain Expertise:

• Drive your team towards a robust technical vision. Be the go-to expert in your domain, advising on potential and suggesting innovative product enhancements.

Team Leadership:

• Cultivate a culture of continuous learning within your team. Distribute tasks for maximum efficiency and implement processes to ensure team success.

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Demonstrated leadership in tech roles such as Technical Lead or System Architect.
• Deep knowledge of Node, React, TypeScript; much of your time will be hands-on coding.
• Experience with Azure or other cloud services.
• Track record in product development.
• Excellent English communication and mentorship skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Self-started attitude and results orientation

We work in a hybrid mode – the ability to visit our office to work with real devices and hardware is important.

Bonus points for:

• Previous experience working with IoT/hardware products or projects.
• Linux and Docker knowledge
