About the Job:
Presight is looking for a passionate Data Analysis Specialist. In this role, you will interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports. You will delve deeper into data, seeking the "why" behind the numbers, asking questions, and proactively searching for solutions. Your responsibilities will include locating and defining new process improvement opportunities, developing and implementing databases and data collection systems, and optimizing statistical efficiency and quality.
You will work collaboratively with management to prioritize business and information needs, and you may need to travel to customer locations as required. Strong analytical skills are crucial, as you will be identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets. As a team player in a multicultural and diverse work environment, you will collaborate with IT and data owners to understand the types of data collected across various databases and data warehouses.
Effective communication is key; you will need to express information clearly and consistently, especially in a culturally diverse setting. An openness to travel as required by the business is also essential.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis or as a business data analyst.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- A self-driven, motivated, results-oriented, and customer-centric mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a relevant field.
- Proven experience with data models, database design, data mining, segmentation techniques, and statistical methods.
- Proficient in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, or R.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI, with knowledge of ELK being a plus.
- Familiarity with statistical packages for analyzing datasets is desirable.
- Proficiency in cloud technology is recommended.
