About the Job
The Maintenance Manager, specializing in preventive maintenance, is responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance operations with a focus on proactively identifying and addressing potential issues. This includes managing a team of maintenance technicians, developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
- Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide ongoing feedback to team members.
- Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.
- Provide remote support to on-site engineers and end users/customers as required.
- Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers/concerned team.
Preventive Maintenance Program Development:
- Design, review and implement comprehensive preventive maintenance programs to identify and address potential issues before they occur.
- Establish schedules for routine inspections, servicing, and replacement of equipment and systems.
- Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with Developers Team and Solution Architects to implement those fixes.
CCTV and ELV Preventive Maintenance:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for CCTV and ELV systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of security infrastructure to identify and address potential issues proactively.
Maintenance Planning and Execution:
- Ensure the preventive maintenance program is integrated into the overall maintenance plan.
- Maximize system performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with Project Development and Operation Team.
- Report system operational status by gathering and prioritizing information and managing projects.
- Maintain systems, application software, and system management tools.
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability meeting the required Project SLA’s.
- Prioritize and schedule preventive maintenance tasks based on criticality and operational impact.
Budget Management:
- Assist in the development and management of the maintenance budget, with a specific allocation for preventive maintenance resources and programs.
Vendor and Contractor Management:
- Identify, contract, and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors for specialized preventive maintenance tasks.
- Understand the G42 warranty and maintenance contracts with sub-contractors and clients alike, including knowing the customers, vendors, equipment covered, and scope.
- Ensure all contracted work meets company standards and is completed on time.
- Closely coordinate with SOC/NOC team to resolve raised support tickets, achieve required response, and resolve time Project SLA’s.
- Coordinate with contractors and partners to support Project Maintenance activities and Technical support for both Onsite and Offsite/remote connection.
Safety and Compliance:
- Establish and enforce safety protocols, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, with a particular emphasis on preventive measures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards.
Record Keeping and Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of all preventive maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and servicing.
- Ensure all activities are correctly documented including weekly and monthly for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide regular reports to management on preventive maintenance progress, key performance indicators, and resource utilization.
- Document knowledge in the form of knowledge base tech notes and articles.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in maintenance/technical support.
- Experience in CCTV and ELV systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Cloud/Windows/Linux OS environments is a plus.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Excellent problem-solving and reporting skills.
- Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal.
- Additional certification in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco, or similar technologies is a plus.
