About the Job
We are seeking a motivated Network Engineer with strong technical capabilities and a desire to learn about complex system installations. You will play a key role in the design, implementation, and management of our network infrastructure at Presight, the region’s leading big data analytics company powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI). Presight leverages big data, analytics, and AI expertise to create business and societal impact, combining all-source data for insight-driven decision making that fosters healthier, safer, and more sustainable societies.
Responsibilities
- Oversee datacenter management, design, and implementation.
- Monitor and resolve network faults with minimal business disruption.
- Install and commission network infrastructure platforms like switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Administer network protocols and technologies including MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and IPSEC.
- Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation.
- Design, deploy, and manage network infrastructure for LAN, WAN, MPLS, and cloud networks.
- Document both High-Level and Low-Level Designs focused on Network Security.
- Develop and maintain incident and change management procedures.
- Deploy and manage network security devices (routers, switches, wireless, WAF, load balancers).
- Implement security measures involving IPSec, SSLVPN, NAT, DNS, DHCP & IPAM.
- Configure and manage next-generation firewalls to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Investigate security incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
- Conduct capacity planning and recommend enhancements for future network needs.
- Collaborate closely with other teams to ensure seamless integration of network security solutions.
- Establish secure connections between on-premises networks and cloud resources to create a hybrid infrastructure.
- Automate routine network tasks using scripting and cloud platform tools.
Qualifications
- Solid experience operating and deploying network infrastructure, including ground-up design.
- Hands-on experience with leading firewall products (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco).
- Familiarity with security technologies such as IPSec/SSL VPN, IDS/IPS, UTM, and WAF.
- Experience in network monitoring with tools like Zabbix, Syslog, and SNMP.
- Proficient in managing routers, switches, voice, and wireless technologies (Cisco, Huawei, Aruba).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in network engineering or network security roles.
- Significant knowledge of designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex networks.
- Proficient in BGP, OSPF, and policy-based routing.
- Familiarity with Cisco Nexus and Catalyst Switching.
- Knowledge of cloud network connectivity, security, and availability (AWS, Azure).
- Proficient in using troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark.
- Ability to work outside regular business hours and be on-call when needed.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 27001 and ITIL processes.
- Relevant certifications like CCIE, CCNP, NSE4, CCSA, PCNSE, AZ-500.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Additional Information
This role is based in Abu Dhabi and may require up to 40% travel annually. Ideal candidates will have experience with Storage Area Network implementation, managing SIEM systems, and possess a basic knowledge of Automation/DevOps for network applications.
