The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust network infrastructure to ensure seamless communication between the data center and remote field sites. This role requires expertise in managing high-capacity networks, collaborating with Internet Service Providers (ISPs), and optimizing bandwidth for large-scale traffic systems. Reporting to the Software Lead, the specialist will play a vital role in achieving reliable and secure data transmission across the entire system.
Responsibilities
- Design and oversee the deployment of high-capacity network infrastructure within data centers, ensuring scalability, reliability, and optimal performance.
- Work closely with ISPs and network solution providers to establish secure VPN tunnels and ensure reliable connectivity.
- Analyze traffic patterns and implement bandwidth optimization strategies for smooth operations.
- Collaborate with security teams to configure and maintain network security protocols.
- Oversee and manage changes to network infrastructure, ensuring proper documentation and testing.
- Diagnose and resolve network performance issues promptly, performing regular maintenance and upgrades.
- Plan, execute, and monitor network-related projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Act as a liaison between internal teams, external vendors, and clients for network design and operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) preferred.
- Proven 5+ years of experience in designing and managing large-scale network infrastructures.
- Expertise in VPN configuration, network security, and bandwidth optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency in Kazakh, Russian, and English.
