The Senior DevOps Engineer will play a critical role in the development team, focusing on the smooth deployment and operation of software solutions. This role involves being responsible for the integration and automation of software development and deployment processes, facilitating continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure management.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Automate build, test, and deployment processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Manage and optimize cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.
- Monitor applications and infrastructure for performance and security.
- Identify and resolve system bottlenecks, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Work closely with software developers to integrate DevOps practices into the development process.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for development and production environments.
- Implement and maintain security policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Stay updated with emerging DevOps trends and technologies.
- Continuously improve system automation and deployment processes.
- Comply with QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment), Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance Management, and Governance policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a DevOps role; recent start-up experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform).
- Experience with Linux-based tools and cloud technologies (preferably Azure).
- Basic knowledge of SQL, with experience in Postgres (experience with Clickhouse is a plus).
- Must have experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Some coding skills in any programming language.
- Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization.
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Full-time availability to work in our Abu Dhabi office, with potential travel (30%).
- Passion for AI and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Proficiency in Russian is an added advantage.
