About the job:
Presight, a leading big data analytics company powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the UAE, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer. The role is pivotal within our development team, focusing on the effective deployment and operational management of software solutions. The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for integrating and automating software development and deployment processes, ensuring continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD), and robust infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate build, test, and deployment processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Manage and optimize both cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Monitor applications and infrastructure for performance and security.
- Identify and resolve system bottlenecks for high availability and performance.
- Collaborate closely with software developers to integrate DevOps practices into the development workflow.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for both development and production environments.
- Implement and maintain security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Stay informed about emerging DevOps trends and technologies.
- Continuously enhance system automation and deployment processes.
- Adhere to QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment), Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance Management, and Governance policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a DevOps role; start-up experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform).
- Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities, capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work full-time in the Abu Dhabi office, with up to 30% travel required.
- Passion for AI and eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and trends.
- Fluency in Russian is an additional advantage.
