About the Job
As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Presight, you will collaborate with the software engineering team to deploy and operate our systems effectively. Your primary focus will be on automating and streamlining operations and processes, as well as building and maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring, and operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities
- Work with a solid background in software development and strong Python coding skills to tackle challenging problems.
- Foster growth and development within a talented team, emphasizing individual ownership and impact.
- Maintain a scalable and robust Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) framework.
- Proactively track issues within the ticket management system.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and QA to resolve issues and deploy fixes promptly.
- Maintain comprehensive deployment-specific support documentation.
- Uphold best practices and IT operations standards in an environment that demands high availability.
- Transform ambiguity into clear, actionable tasks.
- Collaborate in a multicultural work environment that encompasses various geographical locations.
- Communicate effectively, conveying information clearly and consistently.
- Travel as required by the business.
Qualifications
To qualify, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in a DevOps role.
- Experience in developing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines (CI/CD).
- Knowledge in building health and performance monitoring systems.
- Strong background in Linux/Unix administration.
- Familiarity with at least one cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hands-on experience with configuration management and deployment tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Chef, and Terraform.
- Proficiency in Docker and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
- Strong scripting skills, along with proficiency in Git and Git workflows.
- Significant experience with SQL and MySQL.
- A working understanding of coding languages such as Java and Python.
Desired Skills
- Knowledge of Hadoop, Cloudera, Hortonworks, or MapR is a bonus.
- Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID/OpenID-Connect, SAML 2.0, Kerberos, and LDAP.
