We are looking for a Data Engineer to enhance our data engineering capabilities. In this role, you will develop and maintain sophisticated data solutions, building data pipelines in both batch and real-time scenarios. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build self-service data layers and ensure data architecture aligns with broader business strategies, while upholding the highest standards of data quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement real-time data pipelines in Cloud.
- Design and implement complex ETL solutions for large datasets.
- Optimize and fine-tune SQL and/or Python code for performance.
- Design and maintain data models for efficient storage and retrieval.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipeline performance.
- Build and maintain self-service datasets to accelerate data democratization efforts.
- Contribute to initiatives for managing and optimizing infrastructure.
- Implement best practices for version control and collaboration in Terraform.
Essential Experience:
- 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
- Experience with pub-sub, queuing, and streaming frameworks such as AWS Kinesis, Kafka, SQS, SNS.
- Experience in real-time processing engines like Apache Flink, Apache Spark, etc.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java/Scala and Python.
- Experience with ETL/ELT, batch, and streaming data processing pipelines.
Other Desired Experience:
- Familiarity with modern cloud data warehousing, data lake solutions like Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift.
- Experience with AWS services (S3, DMS, Glue, Athena, EKS, etc.).
- Proven experience with data warehousing and dimensional data modeling guidelines and best practices.
- Familiarity with ETL tools (FiveTran, DBT, Airbyte, etc.) and orchestration tools (Dagster, Airflow, AWS Step Functions).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation.
- Experience with data stores like MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Aurora.
- Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, QuickSight, PowerBI, etc.).
- Experience with real-time analytics solutions like Clickhouse, Rockset, Pinto, or Druid.
