We are seeking an innovative and forward-thinking Data Engineer with experience in Generative AI to join our team. In this role, you will bring a fresh, creative perspective to projects, designing and implementing smart data solutions that are efficient and transformative. You will focus on building data solutions that adhere to the highest standards of security, privacy, and regulatory compliance while empowering our operations through the use of Generative AI technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Implement Innovative Data Solutions: Develop and maintain advanced ETL pipelines utilizing SQL, Python, and Generative AI.
- Orchestrate Complex Data Workflows: Use tools like Dagster and Airflow for sophisticated pipeline orchestration.
- Leverage Generative AI for Data Solutions: Create smart data solutions integrating external data sources and leveraging LLMs.
- Employ Prompt Engineering: Enhance the accuracy of generated responses through refined communication techniques.
- Utilize Embeddings and Vector Databases: Convert data into numerical formats for relevant searches.
- Incorporate Semantic Search Techniques: Implement to optimize contextually aware data retrieval processes.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to meet evolving data requirements.
- Ensure High-Quality Data Flow: Manage stream, batch, and Change Data Capture (CDC) processes.
- Enable Business User Empowerment: Prepare datasets using transformation tools like DBT for self-service analytics.
- Monitor and Enhance Pipeline Performance: Regularly check pipelines for performance and reliability.
Essential Experience:
- 7+ years of demonstrable experience as a Data Engineer.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Experience with modern cloud data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, BigQuery, and Redshift.
- Expertise in ETL/ELT processes and building data pipelines.
- Knowledge of Generative AI, including techniques like Retrieval-Augmented Generation and prompt engineering.
- Familiarity with AWS services including DMS, Glue, and Athena.
- Experience with data transformation tools like DBT.
Desired Experience:
- Familiarity with AWS Bedrock and model fine-tuning.
- Knowledge of semantic search and application of LangChain techniques.
- Experience with orchestration tools like Dagster or Airflow.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation processes.
