About the job
In this role, you will be planning Discover Qatar (DQ) and Qatar Airways Holidays (QRH) product strategy, with relevant suppliers and package services in order to facilitate and deliver outstanding experiences for all DQ and QRH programs. You will research, analyze and conduct competitor benchmarking to ensure that the product range is profitable and meets international quality and safety standards.

As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:

  • Assist Senior Manager in planning the annual product delivery, supplier roadmap and be able to identify products and services which matches with the marketing strategy, target customer groups of Qatar Airways networks.
  • Monitor and analyze the on-going benchmarking against local and international competitors to ensure DQ and QRH can deliver best range for low cost, mid-range and high-end markets.
  • Lead on the expansion of QRH storefronts product distribution to enable enhanced access to the products globally.
  • Key contributor when it comes to DQ and QRH budgeting by showcasing a strong understanding of cost base, revenue streams and along with that, is responsible for key product development projects, essentially advising on design and module changes, engaging with the business to facilitate immediate project needs and simultaneously safeguard long-term goals of the division.
  • Manage product executives, ensure all agreements are delivered to operations team and other relevant departments in a timely and accurate manner in line with plan.
  • Oversee statistical analysis and product performance to ensure increased profitability along with recommendation of Senior Manager for in-house vs outsourced suppliers.
  • Evaluate the teams’ objectives, procedures, practices and make appropriate changes, if required for the business.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 8 years of job-related experience. Excellent negotiation and contracts management experience with high level of commercial acumen. Outstanding written and verbal communication in English with excellent influencing capabilities. Excellent understanding of all aspects of tour operations and with it, having comprehensive product knowledge of Qatar/GCC in particular to cater to Qatar Airways Groups business needs. Experienced in managing workflow by setting clear directions, delegating work and upskilling the team periodically. Ability to work with inter-departmental heads and/ or teams’, in a face-paced working environment. Leadership experience in stakeholder management is data driven with strong quantitative and analytical skills and having the ability to derive decisions from it.
