Position

Xebia is seeking a Senior Snowflake Specialist with over 8 years of experience to play a critical role in advancing our enterprise data strategy. The ideal candidate will leverage Snowflake’s capabilities, including AI features, performance engineering, metadata integration, and CI/CD orchestration.

The Snowflake Specialist will be responsible for deep proficiency in Snowflake platform administration, Python-driven development, and Snowflake Cortex Analyst tools. Key responsibilities include operationalizing AI models, automating data pipelines through DataOps.live or DBT Cloud, and integrating metadata lineage between Snowflake and Informatica CDGC. This position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to manage and optimize our data infrastructure, enabling effective data-driven decision-making.

Core Responsibilities:

  • AI & Intelligent Analytics Enablement: Develop and deploy predictive analytics solutions using Snowflake Cortex Analyst and Snowpark. Operationalize Python-based ML models within Snowflake pipelines.
  • Platform Administration & Governance: Administer Snowflake environments, focusing on role-based access, credit monitoring, and security best practices. Configure Dockerized components in Snowflake-integrated environments.
  • Data Engineering, Automation & Transformation: Build and maintain scalable ELT pipelines using DBT and Python. Use Docker for data transformation jobs and integrations.
  • Metadata & Lineage Integration: Extract and publish custom lineage and metadata from Snowflake to Informatica Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC).
  • DataOps & CI/CD Pipelines: Design CI/CD pipelines using DataOps.live, incorporating automated testing and version control for Snowflake workflows.
  • Platform Monitoring and Performance: Monitor data platforms, proactively identifying and addressing performance issues. Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain documentation of platform configurations and generate performance reports.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems).
  • Preferred Certifications: Snowflake Advanced Architect or Administrator or Cortex Analyst.
  • Proficient in: Snowflake platform administration, Snowpark, Cortex, and DBT.
  • Strong knowledge of Python for scripting and automation as well as advanced SQL skills.
  • Familiarity with data engineering tools and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP is highly beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
