Salesforce is seeking a Lead Technical Architect who will serve as a pre-sales customer-facing enterprise domain expert, applying broad technical skills with industry knowledge and deep business acumen. This role supports sales teams by developing Salesforce value propositions that align with customers' business strategies, focusing on digital transformation and cloud adoption.
The Salesforce Cloud Technical Architect will have subject matter expertise in areas including business strategy, application architecture, data & information, integration, security, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, distributed platforms, mobile, and analytics. Leveraging a strong mix of technical and sales skills, the Salesforce Cloud Technical Architect will utilize a consultative approach to assess business and technical requirements.
In this role, you will determine the appropriate Salesforce and third-party technologies to implement in customer-driven architectures, based on product knowledge, industry experience, and Salesforce Architecture methodologies. With a comprehensive IT background, you will lead discussions around change programs from both business and technical perspectives and assist the sales teams in forming repeatable propositions and market strategies.
Responsibilities include:
- Acting as a trusted advisor to CIO/CTO/Architects-level contacts
- Conducting architecture and technical workshops
- Managing customer technical due diligence and risk management processes
- Collaborating with various Salesforce organization elements to execute programs and initiatives
- Participating in product training and certification to maintain job effectiveness
- Mentoring junior technical resources
Minimum Qualifications:
- Multi-year experience in software, system, or enterprise architecture disciplines
- Good understanding of architectural principles of cloud-based platforms including SaaS, PaaS, and multi-tiered infrastructure
