Position

As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer at Schneider Electric, you will be responsible for the technical execution and delivery of a range of lifecycle Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) Cybersecurity solutions and services for our external customers. This is an on-site, full-time position located in Al Khobar, Eastern, Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the technical execution and delivery of cybersecurity solutions to clients.
  • Manage the implementation of cybersecurity solutions, conduct site visits to maintain the cybersecurity infrastructure, and provide training and consulting on cybersecurity matters.
  • Gather and define requirements for cybersecurity projects.
  • Act as a technical consultant, identifying new cybersecurity opportunities and assessing potential vulnerabilities for customers.
  • Lead and manage cybersecurity projects for OT systems and networks, including planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Develop and implement cybersecurity controls and safeguards to protect OT systems and networks.
  • Assess and analyze the cybersecurity posture of OT systems, recommending remediation measures.
  • Conduct security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments on OT systems and networks.
  • Develop and implement cybersecurity policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Provide expert guidance on OT cybersecurity best practices and technologies.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate cybersecurity into OT projects and operations.
  • Stay updated on the latest OT cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices.
  • Develop and deliver OT cybersecurity training to customers and team members.
  • Respond to cybersecurity incidents and guide remediation efforts.
  • Lead Cybersecurity factory and site acceptance testing (FAT/SAT).
  • Create and present necessary technical documentation.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in OT Industrial Control Systems including DCS, SCADA, PLCs, HMI, Data Historians (e.g., OSI PI, EDNA, Wonderware).
  • Understanding of Cybersecurity Frameworks (e.g., NIST, NCSC, ISO 270001, COBIT) and ICS protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, PROFINET, PROFIBUS).
  • Excellent consultancy, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Effective stakeholder management, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in English (fluency in another language is an advantage).
  • 3+ years of experience in networks.
  • 5+ years of installation or management experience with network-based firewalls (preferably Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, or another top-tier product).
  • Proficient in network troubleshooting using sniffers and monitors.
  • Experience in managing network-based Intrusion Detection products.
  • Advanced systems administration skills (Windows Active Directory).
  • Experience in implementing End-Point security solutions and EDR (e.g., Antivirus, Data Leakage Prevention, Host IPS, Whitelisting).
  • Experience in implementing system backup and patch management solutions.
  • 3+ years of scripting and programming skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
