About the Job:
Space42 is a UAE-based AI-powered SpaceTech company that integrates satellite communications, geospatial analytics, and artificial intelligence to illuminate the Earth from space. Established in 2024 from the merger of Bayanat and Yahsat, Space42 serves governments, enterprises, and communities with innovative solutions. The company consists of two units: Yahsat Space Services and Bayanat Smart Solutions. Yahsat Space Services focuses on satellite operations, while Bayanat Smart Solutions integrates geospatial data with AI for improved decision-making and operational efficiency.
Role Purpose:
The Enterprise Architect will align Space42's IT strategy with business objectives, ensuring that the organization's IT architecture supports both current and future capabilities. Reporting to the Senior Manager of IT PMO, this role requires strategic oversight of technology platforms, systems integration, and enterprise-wide standards.
Responsibilities:
- Define, develop, and maintain the enterprise architecture framework, standards, and principles aligned with the business strategy roadmap.
- Collaborate with business leaders, product owners, and technical teams to ensure that architectural design and implementation meet organizational goals.
- Assess and recommend emerging technologies for innovation and efficiency.
- Govern architectural decisions to ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and security best practices.
- Provide architectural guidance during solution design, development, and deployment, facilitating risk assessments and technical evaluations.
- Support enterprise-wide digital transformation and cloud adoption initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years in an enterprise architecture or solution architecture role.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level solutions.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, DoDAF, FEAF).
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience with microservices, APIs, integration platforms, and enterprise data management.
Additional Requirements:
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, compliance, and risk management.
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practices.
- Ability to influence and drive change across business and technical teams.
- Enterprise Architecture certification (e.g., TOGAF, CISA) is strongly preferred.
- Project management experience or certification is an advantage.
