Steer Studios (formerly known as Savvy Games Studios) mission is to create a world-leading game studios in Saudi Arabia, creating high-quality games for international audiences. Also to help Saudi’s passionate gaming sector to develop homegrown IP and more broadly, make KSA a global hub for gaming.
As part of the Steer studios team, you will work alongside the best global gaming talents who have relocated to Riyadh to be part of the ambitious group, and innovative, passionate and hardworking Saudis. Steer Studios is seeking a Junior IT Support Specialist with experience and expertise in various network solutions and management of computer systems.
As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our technology systems and providing technical assistance to internal staff members. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first and second level technical support to the production and support teams.
- Be the first point of contact for technical knowledge and expertise.
- Prioritize duties effectively ensuring that all relevant parties are informed of ticket status and changes.
- Maintain essential IT infrastructure, operating systems, tools, hardware, and assets of the studio.
- Be the bridge between internal teams and external service providers wherever needed.
- Provide out of hours support when the need arises.
- Build, deploy, and configure development systems for current and new employees.
Qualifications and Key Skills:
- A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate are a plus.
- Comfortable with installing and working with software on Windows, Linux, and Mac.
- Knowledge of Active Directory would be appreciated.
- A passion for IT and new technology.
- Basic knowledge of PC hardware with experience diagnosing common issues.
- Good written and verbal skills with English.
- A fast learner with the ability to follow processes and procedures.
- Good problem-solving skills
