About the Job
Steer Studios (formerly known as Savvy Games Studios) aims to establish a world-leading gaming studio in Saudi Arabia, focusing on creating high-quality games for international audiences and supporting the development of a homegrown gaming sector. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in influencing game production, business strategies, and go-to-market initiatives. Collaborating closely with production, user acquisition, monetization, and marketing teams, you will leverage data to understand player interactions and optimize content according to player behavior.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze consumer behaviors utilizing data to gain insights.
- Develop solutions for customer segmentation, targeting, propensity modeling, churn modeling, lifetime value estimation, forecasting, recommendation systems, response to incentives, and price optimization.
- Structure experiments and build mathematical models to identify optimization points for game developers to enhance player experience.
- Implement testing techniques and methodologies to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of business initiatives.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis on game data and market behavior within the mobile gaming industry.
- Create clear visualizations to present complex data to stakeholders.
- Communicate findings and reports to the Head of the division and relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications & Key Skills:
- Experience in the mobile gaming field is essential.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong applied statistics skills, including familiarity with distributions, statistical testing, and regression.
- Proficiency in common data science toolkits, such as R, Weka, NumPy, and MatLab.
- High emotional intelligence and ability to build relationships with various stakeholders.
- Expertise in SQL and RDBMS concepts, with experience handling large datasets.
- Scripting and programming skills in languages such as Java, Scala, Python, R, or Perl.
- Experience in visually communicating results and collaborating with designers, producers, and marketing teams.
- Familiarity with data pipelines and modeling in production environments.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
