About the Job
As a Senior Product Designer at talabat, you will be instrumental in developing deep domain knowledge of your squad's product area and collaborating closely with your manager to tackle complex challenges. Your role will extend beyond creating appealing interfaces; you will engage in thorough understanding of the problem space through generative research, synthesizing insights, and facilitating ideation sessions to enhance customer experiences.
You will minimize assumptions in your design process, working with Product Managers to define focus areas while measuring ongoing improvements. Continuous user feedback will be sought at every stage of the problem-solving process. Your responsibilities will include creating simple, elegant solutions to complex interaction problems while maintaining a keen attention to detail.
You will help facilitate cross-functional workshops to achieve desired outcomes such as generating ideas, soliciting feedback, or building consensus. Your creative input will shape the design of flows, prototypes, sketches, and high-fidelity visuals using and evolving our design system. By thinking in terms of scalable systems, you will ensure lasting solutions rather than one-off fixes.
Your work will also involve employing various metrics to evaluate and continuously improve user experiences, identifying areas to enhance design processes, knowledge, and tools to boost productivity and product quality. Active cooperation within the design chapter and fostering collaboration with other departments will be key components of your role. You will regularly present your work to peers, stakeholders, and leaders for review and feedback, while also contributing to a creative and supportive culture and mentoring junior team members.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Preferably a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, Design, Marketing, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or Multimedia Graphics.
- Minimum 5-6 years of full-time UX and UI design experience in agile, consumer-focused, high-performance organizations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with advanced knowledge of frameworks such as double diamond and design thinking.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in user interaction.
- Experience in organizing workshops and sessions with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Invision, Zeplin, etc.
- An impressive portfolio showcasing your thought process and advanced understanding of user experience.
- A proven track record of delivering excellent designs and understanding critical details at each release cycle stage.
- Experience in validating hypotheses using qualitative and quantitative data.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and present compelling narratives that inspire action.
- Capacity to manage multiple work streams in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- An open-minded and humble mindset, thriving on continuous feedback and learning.
