We are looking for a skilled and driven Backend Developer to join our team at VentureOne, an innovation hub where creativity thrives and groundbreaking ideas come to life. As a Backend Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend systems that power our applications. This includes building secure APIs, managing real-time communication via WebSockets, and ensuring seamless interaction with databases and other system components. The ideal candidate is passionate about backend architecture, system performance, and writing clean, maintainable code. You will collaborate closely with other developers and teams to continuously improve the performance, security, and reliability of our backend infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain APIs and Sockets on our existing systems.
- Extend our existing backends with new scalable and secure features in the form of APIs and socket topics.
- Effectively implement security measures into the backend.
- Ensure existing and new Backend features perform well and are written in a high-quality manner.
- Identify bugs, security vulnerabilities, or bottlenecks in the backend systems.
- Collaborate with teams and engineers to implement new features.
- Write high-quality code while following best practices.
- Maintain and improve communication with databases and other software components via web sockets.
- Extend our database architecture efficiently when needed.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for software development.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications remain cutting-edge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Backend Developer or in a similar role.
- Strong expertise in languages used in the backend such as JavaScript, TypeScript, and Java; Python is a plus.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as Node.js, NestJs, ExpressJs, Springboot (Java), or Django (Python).
- Experience with database management systems (MongoDB, Redis Cache) and knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) is appreciated.
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and expertise with REST APIs and WebSockets (Socket.IO).
- Experience with WebRTC is appreciated, along with knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Medium knowledge of Docker and Docker Compose is beneficial.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with robot to web communication is a plus.
