Role: Cyber Security Tester
Location: Oman
Experience Required: 8+ years
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough security assessments and penetration tests on web applications, mobile applications, networks, and systems.
- Identify and exploit security vulnerabilities while documenting findings and providing detailed reports.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to prioritize and remediate security issues.
- Perform code reviews and static analysis to identify security flaws in software applications.
- Develop and maintain security test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Stay updated with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
- Provide guidance and training to developers and other stakeholders on secure coding practices and security awareness.
- Participate in incident response and forensic analysis as needed.
- Train Quality Control candidates in relevant tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in security testing, penetration testing, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of common security vulnerabilities, including the OWASP Top Ten and various attack vectors.
- Proficiency in security testing tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Metasploit, and Nessus.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
- Experience with secure coding practices and code review processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Relevant certifications such as CEH, OSCP, CISSP, or similar are highly desirable.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure) and container security (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
