About the Job
This position will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing IT assets within the bank. It will encompass overseeing vendor relationships, managing contract renewals, producing regular reports and analytics to inform the bank's IT roadmap. Additionally, the ideal candidate will focus on internal workflow automation to enhance efficiency and productivity. This role demands a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Asset Inventory Management:

    • Maintain an accurate and comprehensive inventory of all IT assets (hardware, software, licenses, certificates, etc.).
    • Track asset lifecycle stages from procurement to retirement.
    • Ensure proper tagging, documentation, and audit of assets.
  • Vendor Management:

    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
    • Evaluate vendor performance and ensure compliance with contract terms.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor communications and issue resolution.
  • Contract Renewal and Management:

    • Monitor and manage IT contracts, ensuring timely renewals and compliance.
    • Maintain detailed records of contract terms, including costs and expiration dates.
    • Initiate IT budget and purchase order requests, validate vendor delivery for invoices.
  • Regular Reporting:

    • Generate and distribute regular reports on IT asset status, utilization, and financial impact.
    • Provide detailed analysis and presentations for senior management.
    • Ensure transparency and accountability through consistent and accurate reporting.
  • Analytics and IT Roadmap Advising:

    • Analyze asset utilization and performance data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and gap areas for improvement.
    • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to inform the bank's IT roadmap.
    • Collaborate with IT leadership to align asset management practices with the bank’s strategic goals.
  • Internal Workflow Automation:

    • Identify opportunities for workflow automation within the IT asset management process.
    • Implement and manage automation tools to streamline asset tracking, reporting, and compliance tasks.
    • Train staff on new automated processes and ensure smooth integration with existing systems.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:

    • Ensure IT asset management practices comply with relevant regulations and standards.
    • Conduct regular audits to verify asset accuracy and compliance.
    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT asset management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT asset, vendor and/or solutions management, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of IT asset lifecycle management, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.
  • Proficiency in asset management software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ITIL or IAITAM certification preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience with IT vendor management and contract negotiation.
  • Familiarity with financial industry regulations and compliance standards.
  • Experience with workflow automation tools and techniques.
