We serve the global enterprise and technology markets, enabling innovation in areas such as public cloud, data science, AI, engineering, and IoT. Our partnerships include some of the world's top public cloud and silicon providers like Intel, Nvidia, Google, Dell, HP, Accenture, and Tata.

We are currently seeking an Alliances Field Engineer to support our key partners in understanding and adopting our open source platform for their operations and customers. Our field engineering team tackles real-world problems, assisting enterprises in adopting Ubuntu, OpenStack, Kubernetes, AI/MLOps, and an array of related technologies. In this role, you will collaborate with OEMs, GSIs, ISVs, channel partners, and public cloud alliance partners to enhance their adoption of the company products. You will provide expert advice on various solutions while ensuring our partners’ interests are prioritized.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand Ubuntu, Linux, networking, and services in real-world environments.
  • Architect cloud infrastructure solutions (Kubernetes, Kubeflow, OpenStack, Ceph, Spark) in both on-premises and public cloud settings (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Integrate open source software (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Cassandra, NGINX) into joint solutions with partners.
  • Design and publish joint Reference Architectures, performing technical validations with partners.
  • Conduct onboarding sessions/workshops to promote the company products and solutions.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with Linux (preferably Ubuntu), Kubernetes, Ceph, and software automation.
  • Experience designing and implementing solutions on public or private clouds.
  • Proficient in Python and bash with strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Motivated with the ability to multi-task and follow-up reliably on commitments.
  • Interest in customer engagement, new technologies (LXD, Juju, Snaps), and up to 30% travel.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive compensation based on location, experience, and performance.
  • Annual review and performance-driven bonuses.
  • Personal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per year.
  • Annual leave, maternity, and paternity leave.
  • Employee Assistance Programme and opportunities for travel to meet team members.

The company is a pioneering firm in the global transition to open source, having embraced a remote-first culture since 2004. We value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive workplace free from discrimination. We invite applications from individuals of all backgrounds and identities.
