Position

As an Audio Visual Manager (Broadcast Engineer) based in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, you will play a crucial role in the construction and maintenance of our studios, ensuring high-quality broadcasts are delivered on time. Your primary responsibilities include operating and maintaining broadcast systems, carrying out updates and repairs, and building studios from scratch according to provided plans. You will also oversee the technical support team and ensure the smooth operation of various broadcast systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and test new facilities and equipment.
  • Maintain equipment for video production, broadcast, and interactive media.
  • Set up and monitor audio-visual links between units.
  • Analyze and repair technical faults on equipment and systems.
  • Minimize service disruption when equipment fails by quickly identifying alternative service methods.
  • Set up and operate equipment and transmission links during outside broadcasts.
  • Design and install custom audio-visual circuits.
  • Design and manufacture hardware and systems.
  • Develop awareness of best workplace health and safety practices.
  • Interpret and implement instructions and requests from product owners, creative directors, and colleagues.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and other colleagues.
  • Stay updated with industry changes and technology by maintaining a network of contacts and investigating new systems and techniques.

Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of photography concepts (aperture, shutter speed, ISO speed, exposure, camera lenses).
  • Experience in electronic engineering and using communication equipment.
  • Advanced knowledge of operating a video camera and production video switcher.
  • Experience with live chroma keying.
  • Advanced understanding of SDI infrastructure.
  • Sufficient color vision and hearing.
  • Excellent IT and Project Management skills.
  • Strong communication and people skills with the ability to work well in a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Flexibility and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Language Requirements:
Proficiency in English is typically expected.
