Responsibilities
As a CAD/GIS Technician, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, editing, and maintaining CAD drawings and GIS maps for infrastructure projects.
  • Interpreting as-built drawings, maps, graphs, and aerial imagery to identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
  • Creating 2D and 3D visualizations or progress presentations as directed by project engineers.
  • Using AutoCAD and related drafting tools to develop technical drawings and detailed layouts for civil infrastructure projects.
  • Performing clash analysis and preparing combined/interface layout drawings for underground services, road structures, and utility corridors.
  • Converting, importing, and exporting data between CAD, GIS, and other platforms to support design workflows and data management.
  • Supporting the development and use of GIS web mapping applications for project monitoring, design coordination, and stakeholder communication.
  • Collaborating with engineers, planners, and survey teams to integrate field data, maintain geospatial databases, and support project planning.
  • Ensuring all drawings, maps, and data outputs adhere to relevant engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a related field.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Proven experience as a CAD/GIS Technician.
  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS.
