Responsibilities
- Front-End Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain the user interface of the dissemination portal using React and modern front-end best practices.
- Implement responsive, accessible, and performant UI components.
- Integration & Backend Collaboration:
- Integrate the front-end with backend APIs, ensuring smooth data flow and user interactions.
- Collaborate closely with backend engineers to connect the UI with the semantic layer for enriched data representation.
- Architecture & Best Practices:
- Contribute to overall application architecture, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and security.
- Review and optimize existing code for performance and quality.
- Data Dissemination Portal Expertise:
- Apply prior experience in designing and developing web portals for data dissemination, including data filtering, visualization, and download features.
- Collaboration & Mentorship:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including data engineers, UX designers, and product managers.
- Mentor junior developers, fostering knowledge sharing and coding best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience with AI assisted coding.
- 7+ years of professional experience in full stack web development.
- Strong proficiency in React, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Proven experience integrating front-end applications with backend APIs and semantic layers.
- Previous hands-on experience developing data dissemination web portals.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, or other API paradigms.
- Backend technology experience (Node.js, Python, Java, Express JS/Fastify and GraphQL).
- Experience with frontend and data visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js, Highcharts, Plotly).
- Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
