Location: Milpitas, CA (On-site)
Work Conditions: Contract role; Up to 20% travel (primarily to Irvine, CA). Must be willing to relocate or work onsite in Milpitas, CA.
Pay Range: $40.00 - $45.45/hr (on W2, negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors).
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product development, QA, and V&V teams to ensure reliable and auditable releases.
- Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery.
- Maintain build reproducibility, artifact traceability, and secure supply chain processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex DevSecOps issues across build, test, and release systems.
- Automate SBOM generation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop automated OS image creation and vendor driver integration.
- Create and manage product-specific installers (e.g., InstallShield).
- Provision and maintain CI/CD environments, build servers, and tools.
- Integrate static code analysis and vulnerability scanning tools.
- Mentor junior engineers on CI/CD and secure development practices.
- Maintain documentation for processes, configurations, and runbooks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering with DevOps/build-release ownership.
- Experience with Windows OS image creation (Windows ADK).
- Hands-on experience with Docker (Windows-based containers).
- Experience with installer tools like InstallShield.
- Strong knowledge of C++ build systems using Conan and CMake.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Groovy scripting.
- Familiarity with static code analysis tools (SonarQube, Checkmarx, Blackduck).
- Proficiency in Git, Bitbucket, and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
- Experience with SBOM automation and embedding in release artifacts.
- Solid understanding of DevSecOps, secure pipelines, and artifact provenance.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in medical devices or regulated environments (IEC 62304).
- Experience with embedded software development across multiple platforms.
- Knowledge of SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).
- Strong understanding of SDLC and software engineering best practices.
