During your tenure, you will:
- Perform business process understanding alongside financial audit teams to identify the scope for IT Audit procedures, such as tests of automated control and data analysis to address financial audit risks.
- Prepare and communicate the IT Audit Plan, budget, and timelines to the IT Audit Manager.
- Conduct fieldwork and audit procedures including IT risk assessments, testing of automated/application controls, general IT controls, interface controls, and system-generated reports, while preparing reports on risk mitigation procedures.
- Identify and evaluate IT risks associated with issues found during audits.
- Communicate engagement issues and findings effectively to senior management and client personnel.
- Prepare written reports detailing findings and recommendations.
- Foster and maintain positive working relationships with client personnel.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science, Business Computer, or Management Information Systems.
- CISA or other relevant certification is advantageous.
- 3+ years of experience in professional services, IT External audit, or IT Internal Audit.
- Strong understanding of auditing techniques and computer control environments in the Financial Services Industry.
- Skills in planning and managing fieldwork while ensuring deliverables meet specifications and deadlines.
- Experience in testing general IT controls for applications, operating systems, and databases; including system-generated reports.
- Proficiency in understanding business processes and testing automated application controls.
- Expertise in performing risk mitigation procedures, including identifying and testing mitigating and compensating controls.
- Strong communication skills, team-oriented mindset, and a commitment to achieving tangible outcomes.
- Willingness to work additional hours as required to meet deadlines and client needs.
- Proficient with basic PC applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and a good understanding of data analysis techniques.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Capable of conducting extensive research.
