Responsibilities
- Handle all SCS/CS activities in the field for all GEV-GA projects, including on-shore and off-shore in Oman.
- Prepare Signal List from Schematics and other applicable documents.
- Responsible for the Field Services activity of the Substation Automation Systems including SCS/SCS, RTU, and Cyber security.
- Take complete ownership of technical activities for assigned projects, including EHS coordination, site survey, engineering, design, and support for panel integration.
- Perform, coordinate, and record tests for digital inputs, controls, measurements, and interlocks.
- Inform and report on time to the SCS Engineer in charge, and prepare As-Built documentation.
- Lead the design of the Substation LAN networks and installation of the SCS system at the site.
- Manage resource planning and workload to ensure a 90% and above billable ratio for assigned projects/sites.
- Coordinate workplace EHS issues and ensure the availability of suitable PPE for T&C personnel.
- Ensure commitments to customers are met in accordance with the contract.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics engineering, or computer engineering.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the relevant field.
- Knowledge of Cyber security solutions implementation in the field of Substation Automation.
- Proficient in PC installation and troubleshooting, and software installation.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English; Arabic is an added value.
- Experience in managing sites for control systems is a distinct advantage.
