Flight Operations Engineer

About the role

The Flight Operations Engineer provides flight operations technical support to the flight fleet and flight crew, focusing on aircraft takeoff, en-route, and landing performance. This role encompasses various responsibilities including aircraft documentation, weight & balance, airport suitability evaluation, configuration assessment, and performance monitoring. The engineer ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, thus ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations of the flight fleet in accordance with regulations.

Main duties include but are not limited to:

• Administration of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) aircraft performance tools and applications.
• Aircraft Performance Monitoring and analysis.
• Airport suitability evaluation assessment and crew briefings.
• En-route study, decompression, and drift down procedures analysis.
• Tracking of Airworthiness Directives (AD), Service Bulletins (SB), and Engineering Orders (EO).
• Aircraft modification and configuration.
• Aircraft weight and balance administration.
• Management of aircraft and company Operations Manual Part A, B, and C, including the Minimum Equipment List (MEL) and Configuration Deviation List (CDL).
• Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) administration.

Qualification

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering.
• Five years’ experience in airline flight operations preferred.
• Good knowledge of regulations applicable to aircraft performance.
• Experience in using manufacturer flight operations engineering programs.
• Experience with Electronic Flight Bag (EFB).
