Responsibilities
As a Network Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, evolution, and maintenance of network infrastructures. Your responsibilities will include:
- Participating in the design and evolution of network infrastructures
- Engaging in BUILD and RUN projects from design to production deployment
- Conducting Proof of Concept (PoC) activities to validate new solutions or architectures
- Ensuring the maintenance of operational conditions (MCO) for network infrastructures
- Administering and evolving routing and switching environments
- Working on LAN, VLAN, and network interconnection architectures
- Contributing to the management and evolution of routing protocols and network architectures
- Administering associated infrastructure services: DNS, DHCP, NTP, NAT, QoS, etc.
- Participating in the implementation and administration of VPN and network security solutions
- Addressing issues related to firewalls, traffic filtering, and flow management
- Conducting troubleshooting and incident analysis on network equipment and services
- Handling requests and incidents related to traffic, VPN, VLAN, IP addressing, and NAT
- Contributing to the automation of network operations and the continuous improvement of processes
- Assisting in updating configurations according to best security and architecture practices
- Maintaining reliable and up-to-date technical documentation on infrastructures within your scope
Your Profile
We are looking for a candidate who is meticulous, autonomous, and possesses strong analytical skills, able to thrive in a demanding technical environment. You should be comfortable tackling complex network issues and enjoy contributing proposals for the evolution and improvement of infrastructures.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree (Bac+3) to Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Computer Science, Networks, and Telecommunications or equivalent training
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in network engineering or administration
- Experience in a BUILD/RUN environment or on infrastructures with high availability requirements is appreciated
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of network fundamentals: TCP/IP, IP addressing, VLAN, routing, and switching
- Good understanding of routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, or VRF
- Knowledge of firewalls, network filtering, NAT, and VPN
- Experience in Fortinet environments preferred
- Proficient with troubleshooting and network analysis tools
- Familiarity with services like DNS, DHCP, NTP
- Sensitivity to network security issues
- Knowledge of network automation (Ansible, Jenkins, or similar technologies)
- Skills in Python are a plus
- Experience with IPAM/DNS/DHCP management solutions is appreciated
