Key Responsibilities
- Perform loop checking and function checking from field instruments to DCS/PLC.
- Troubleshoot, commission, and assist in shutdown activities.
- Collaborate with DCS/PLC vendors or OEMs during loop and function checks.
- Read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, and wiring diagrams while preparing loop folders.
- Carry out instrumentation calibration, testing, and fault identification.
- Adhere to PTW, LOTO, JSA, and HSE requirements in hazardous areas.
Requirements
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as an Instrument Technician in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Mandatory hands-on experience in loop checking and function checking from field instruments to DCS/PLC.
- Proven experience working with DCS/PLC vendors or OEMs during loop and function checks.
- Strong ability to read P&IDs, loop drawings, and prepare loop folders.
- In-depth knowledge of instrumentation calibration, testing, and fault identification.
- Familiarity with PTW, LOTO, JSA, and HSE requirements in hazardous areas.
