IT Project Manager - Card and Payment-PCI DSS, ePayments, digital wallets

About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced IT Project Manager specializing in Cards and Payment systems for our operations in Qatar. This position requires strong expertise in banking technology and IT project delivery, particularly within the complex environment of the financial services industry. The role demands a candidate who can manage IT projects focused on Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Prepaid Cards, ePayments, and navigate related regulatory and scheme-driven initiatives effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex IT projects within the banking or financial services industry, ensuring successful delivery aligned with scope, timelines, budget, quality, and governance standards.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, card schemes, compliance teams, and other internal stakeholders.
• Oversee end-to-end IT project delivery, from planning and execution to monitoring, risk management, stakeholder coordination, vendor management, and project closure.
• Work within structured governance environments, maintaining strong documentation, reporting, escalation, and change control practices.

Experience and Certification Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience in IT Project Management, preferably within banking, financial services, cards, payments, or digital banking environments.
• PMP certification is required or strongly preferred.
• Proven track record of managing complex IT projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.

Cards and Banking Domain Knowledge

• Solid understanding of tokenization, PCI DSS, ePayments, digital wallets, and payment processing flows.
• Familiarity with card schemes, certifications, mandates, and compliance requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management and vendor coordination skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior management, technology teams, and external partners.
• Excellent analytical, planning, documentation, and reporting capabilities.
• Ability to manage project risks, issues, dependencies, change requests, and escalations effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a structured and proactive approach to project delivery.
