Job Summary
As an IT System Analysis & Design Analyst, you will be responsible for understanding business needs and designing system solutions that address identified requirements and gaps.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and analyze system requirements.
- Create system models (activity diagrams, data flow diagrams) to represent system behavior, interactions, and data flow.
- Define system interfaces, data structures, and integration points.
- Create detailed functional specifications that define system behavior, user interfaces, and business rules.
- Document system requirements, including input/output formats, error handling, and exception scenarios.
- Ensure functional specifications are comprehensive, clear, and aligned with business objectives.
- Provide technical guidance and support throughout the development process.
- Bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation.
- Collaborate with related teams to define test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on system requirements and design.
- Review test results and assist in defect resolution.
- Ensure that the system meets defined functional and non-functional requirements.
- Conduct impact analysis to understand the implications of proposed system changes on existing systems, processes, and interfaces.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to manage change requests and ensure smooth transition and adoption of system changes.
- Create and maintain accurate documentation, including system requirements, functional specifications, design artifacts, and user manuals.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization within the system analysis and design lifecycle.
- Maintain standards of service levels at all times and ensure timely responses to requests.
- Perform other duties within the scope as assigned by your Performance Manager and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in your area of expertise.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
