Java Backend Engineer

About the job:

• Looking for a Cloud engineer to:
  • Contribute throughout the multi-technology software service delivery lifecycle.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain containerized applications on Azure Kubernetes and Azure Webapp Service platforms.
  • Manage continuous integration and deployment.
  • Oversee service monitoring and support.
• Requirements:
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience in a challenging environment.

Your team:

• Part of the Credit Decision engineering team in Doha, Qatar.
• Responsible for various risk and decision applications for Lending products.
• Belongs to the Lending group which provides IT solutions for a large variety of banking products.

Your expertise:

• 8+ years of hands-on development experience with:
  • Core Java, front-end technologies, and Oracle PL/SQL.
• Strong understanding of:
  • Core Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Webservices, and Microservices.
  • Cloud Native microservice architecture, database concepts, Kafka messaging system, and Cloud Fundamentals.
  • Gitlab, Azure web app hosting, and Azure native development practices.
• Good knowledge on:
  • Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) setup and hosting applications.
• Hands-on experience in React JS is a plus.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline integration (e.g., Gitlab, Azure DevOps).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a global team.
